Resilience does not come from one system

During any year, failures can affect networks, cloud platforms, DNS, power or physical connectivity. The impact varies, but the common lesson is that no infrastructure should be treated as completely failure-proof.

Multiple paths, independent backups, monitoring and a clear recovery plan reduce the impact when something goes wrong. Resilience is less about promising that outages will never happen and more about designing systems that can recover from them.
